As well as solo projects, Jaki works collaboratively or in conjunction with other artists and collectives. She has a strong interest in community based projects and often works with groups of non-artists to find creative ways of communicating concerns, of celebrating or of exploring ideas through a visual practice.

Jaki Trolove is a visual artist originally from Aotearoa (New Zealand) who is now based in Scotland but works on projects internationally. She works with a broad range of media including video, casting, performance, installation and large scale oil paintings. Her work is often anchored around issues of violence, power, colonisation

and gender.

Welcome to my page

Jaki is an experienced facilitator and enjoys a process-based approach to workshoping visual projects. Her last project in Scotland was with a group of women at Phoenix House culminating in an exhibition at GOMA called ‘It’s Just a Domestic’. This was part of ‘Rule of Thumb: Contemporary Art and Human Rights’ at the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow.
